The Columbus forward was fighting for a loose puck when he collided with linesman Shane Heyer, who escaped injury on the play. Foligno fell to the ice, where he stayed for several minutes until he was taken off. He managed to give a thumbs-up to the crowd on his way out, with the team reporting that Foligno was able to move his arms and legs and was alert when communicating with medical staff before leaving the arena.
