Edmonton Oilers winger Taylor Hall is out two to four weeks with a sprained MCL, the team announced Sunday.

Hall injured his knee in the Oilers' game Saturday night against the Vancouver Canucks. In the opening seconds of the second period, Hall was tripped while rushing the net in the Canucks' zone and crashed into the left goalpost.

He left the game and didn't return in what became a 3-2 loss for Edmonton. The Oilers said Sunday Hall won't travel with the team on its five-game road trip that begins Tuesday.

Hall, 22, is the Oilers' leading scorer this season with 10 points in 11 games. He assisted on teammate Jordan Eberle's first-period goal Saturday night.
