Top draft prospect Connor McDavid out 5-6 weeks with broken hand
Top NHL draft prospect Connor McDavid will be out five to six weeks with a broken bone in his hand, his junior team, the Erie Otters, announced Wednesday.
McDavid's injury is a fracture of the fifth metacarpal bone, the bone below the pinky finger. He was hurt in a fight Tuesday night during the Otters' game against the Mississauga Steelheads when he appeared to strike the glass after missing on a punch.
