Vancouver Canucks forward Zack Kassian will miss a few weeks with a finger injury, coach Willie Desjardins said on Thursday.
Kassian will not join the team on its upcoming seven-game road trip, which begins Friday in Columbus and includes stops in Detroit, Washington, Pittsburgh, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal.
Over 17 games this season, Kassian has scored two goals and recorded three assists. He registered 29 points over 73 games last season.
Vancouver acquired Kassian, a first-round pick in the 2009 draft, in a February 2012 trade with the Buffalo Sabres.
The Canucks are 15-6-1 and in second place in the Pacific Division.
