Ducks' Francois Beauchemin out 4-6 weeks; team acquires Eric Brewer
The Ducks announced Friday they have placed defenseman Francois Beauchemin on injured reserve with a broken finger and acquired defenseman Eric Brewer in a trade with the Lightning.
The Ducks announced Friday they have placed defenseman Francois Beaucheminon injured reserve with a broken finger and acquired defenseman Eric Brewerin a trade with the Lightning. Beachemin is expected to miss four to six weeks.
Tampa Bay will receive a 2015 third round pick in exchange for Brewer. The Ducks originally acquired the pick in a trade with the Oilers.
Beauchemin missed five games earlier this month after being diagnosed with the mumps. Defenseman Clayton Stoner is currently on injured reserve with the mumps and is considered day-to-day.

Brewer is fifth among Tampa Bay defensemen in average ice time this season. He has played in 17 of the team's 23 games.
