Winnipeg Jets F Evander Kane out until February
Winnipeg Jets forward Evander Kane will be out until early February with a lower-body injury, head coach Paul Maurice said Monday.
The team did not provide details regarding Kane's injury, but the Associated Press reports Kane blocked a shot in Saturday's overtime win in Minnesota and then missed practice on Sunday.
Kane, 23, has 15 points (six goals, nine assists) in 26 games this season. Against the Wild on Saturday, he had two assists in 19:45 of ice time.

Earlier this month, he was suspended two games for an illegal check vs. the Anaheim Ducks. He also missed eight games in October after suffering a knee injury when he collided with teammate Mark Scheifele.
The Jets (19-10-7) are now without their top four defensemen, but have won four of their past five games. They host the Wild on Monday night and the New York Islanders on Wednesday.
