Nick Foligno, Jonathan Toews named captains for All-Star Game

Columbus Blue Jackets forward Nick Foligno and Chicago Blackhawks forward Jonathan Toews will be the captains for the All-Star Game, the league announced on Wednesday.
Foligno and Toews will select their rosters during the Fantasy Draft on Jan. 23. The pair was selected to serve as captains by their fellow All-Stars and the league's Hockey Operations.
Each team will also have a pair of assistant captains. Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty and Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane will be assistants for Team Foligno. Team Toews will have Anaheim Ducks forward Ryan Getzlaf and New York Rangers forward Rick Nash serve as assistants.

Foligno, 27, will play in his first All-Star Game later this month in front of his home crowd. In his eighth year, he leads the Blue Jackets with 18 goals and 40 points.
The 26-year-old Toews will make his third All-Star appearance. He is second on the Blackhawks with 13 goals, 15 assists and 28 points.
The All-Star Game will be hosted by Columbus on Jan. 25. The game has not been played since the 2012 season due to the lockout during the 2013-14 season, and the Winter Olympics the following year.
