Chicago Blackhawks forward Joakim Nordstrom has been suspended two games for a boarding penalty against Arizona Coyotes defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson, the league announced Friday.
Late in the third period of Thursday night's game, Nordstrom drove Ekman-Larsson head first into the boards. Nordstrom will forfeit $6,630.82 in salary as a result of his suspension.

Nordstrom, 23, is in his second NHL season. He has two assists and no goals in 31 games this season.
Ekman-Larsson left the game to receive medical attention. He is listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
