Red Wings' Drew Miller slashed in the face by Senators skate blade
Detroit Red Wings veteran Drew Miller was slashed in the face by a Senators skate blade in an ugly scene on Tuesday night.

It’s an unfortunate part of the sport, and it’s scary when it happens. On Tuesday night, Drew Miller was cut with a skate off of a face-off in the Red Wings game against Ottawa.
Miller, who was on the wing, came in to help out center Luke Glendening and took a low approach on Mark Stone. Stone fell over Glendening and caught Miller in the face with the cut. Miller received two cuts on the face, according to beat writer Bill Roose, and is likely to not return tonight.
Beside two deep cuts near his right eye, it appears that Miller has no damage to the eye right now. He continues to be treated by team docs.
