Nashville Predators defenseman Shea Weber is expected to need four-to-six weeks to recover after sustaining a subluxed kneecap, the team announced on Monday.

Weber, 29, sustained the injury--which was initially termed a "lower-body injury"--during Game 2 of the team's first-round playoff series against the Chicago Blackhawks.

The injury caused Weber to miss the ensuing four games of the series, which Nashville lost, 4-2.

Over 78 games this season, Weber recorded 15 goals and 30 assists and averaged more than 26 minutes of time on ice.

Weber, the Predators' captain, just completed his 10th season in the NHL.
