Lightning RW Ryan Callahan (appendectomy) out indefinitely

Tampa Bay Lightning winger Ryan Callahan is out indefinitely after undergoing emergency surgery to remove his appendix, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Callahan, Tampa Bay's fifth-leading scorer, is second among Lightning forwards in average ice time per game. He plays on a line with Steven Stamkos and Alex Killorn.
The Lightning are currently playing the Montreal Canadiens in the Eastern Conference semifinals and lead the series 3–2. Game 6 is Tuesday night in Tampa. The Lightning took a 3–0 lead but the Habs have won the last two games.
Callahan has three assists and a team-high plus-7 rating in the playoffs. His absence likely means rookie Jonathan Drouin, who was a healthy scratch in Game 5, will be back in the lineup.
