Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Ben Bishop will not play in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals Wednesday night, according to a report from CBS Chicago.

A reason was not immediately given for Bishop's absence from Game 4. Andrei Vasikevskiy will start in the net for the Lightning, while Kristers Gudlevskis will be Tampa Bay's backup goalie.

Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper hinted after Game 2 that Bishop would miss Game 3 of the series due to an undisclosed ailment.

Bishop instead played all 60 minutes of Monday night's Game 3, making 36 saves en route to a 3–2 victory that gave the Lightning a 2–1 series lead.

In 23 postseason games this spring, Bishop is 14–9 while manning the net for the Lightning.
