Brilliant video tribute to Jean Beliveau on his 84th birthday

Tim Thompson, the genius behind Hockey Night In Canada's montage segments, posted this tribute to Béliveau after he died in 2014.

Jean Béliveau, the majestic captain of the Montreal Canadiens and one of the finest men ever to play the game, would have been 84 years old today, which makes this the perfect time to reflect on a life of service to his team and his community.

Tim Thompson, the genius behind the popular montage segments when Hockey Night In Canada was still run by the CBC, posted this video tribute to Béliveau online shortly after his passing on Dec. 2, 2014 and it is as beautiful and chilling today as it was back then.
