Oilers’ Connor McDavid (broken collarbone) out months
Oilers rookie Connor McDavid is out for months with a broken left clavicle.
Edmonton Oilers rookie Connor McDavid is out for “months” with a broken left clavicle according to general manager Peter Chiarelli, the Associated Press reports.
McDavid left Tuesday’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers with an apparent left shoulder injury and did not return.
Late in the second period, McDavid skated in on goal and got a shot off before being tripped up by a pair of Flyers. He then hit the ice and crashed his left shoulder into the boards.
The 18-year-old was seen in a sling on the Oilers bench.
McDavid, the top pick in this year’s NHL draft, has scored five goals and added seven assists in his first 12 career games
