Report: Alex Galchenyuk’s girlfriend arrested for domestic violence

Alex Galchenyuk's girlfriend Chanel Leszczynski was reportedly arrested after a violent altercation at a party hosted by the Canadiens forward on Saturday night.

Chanel Leszczynski, the girlfriend of Montreal Canadiens forward Alex Galchenyuk was arrested on charges of domestic violence on Sunday, reportsLa Presse.

Galchenyuk hosted a party at his home after the Canadiens' 3–1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday night when Leszczynski arrived and had a violent incident with him.

Leszczynski was arrested as the instigator of the fight. Galchenyuk did not press charges.

Teammate Devante Smith-Pelley was also in attendance at the party. Several other friends who were there dialed 911 for assistance.

The 22-year-old forward has 27 points, including 10 goals, in 43 games this season as the Canadiens (23–17–3) hold third place in the Atlantic Division.
