The NHL will donate $200,000 to injured hockey player Denna Laing to assist her rehab from a spinal injury, commissioner Gary Bettman announced on Saturday.
Laing, a forward for the Boston Pride, sustained a “significant” injury to her spine after crashing into the boards during the Outdoor Women’s Classic at Gillette Stadium earlier this month.
Two of the NHL’s partners, Honda and Ticketmaster, will donate a custom car which will fit Denna’s transportation needs as well as tickets to tomorrow’s All-Star game for the Laing family.
The Bruins and TD Garden have already donated $200,000 to the Denna Laing Foundation.
