NHL trade rumors: Latest news, buzz on deals as deadline nears
The NHL trade market was busy this weekend ahead of Monday’s 3 p.m. ET deadline, but there are still plenty of potential deals to be made.
Hurricanes captain Eric Staal was perhaps the biggest name to move this weekend, going to the Rangers in exchange for prospect Aleksi Saarela and two second-round picks. The Canes also sent Kris Versteeg to the Kings.
The Panthers made three deals on Saturday, bringing in Jiri Hudler, Jakub Kindl and Teddy Purcell, while the Sharks added goalie James Reimer from the Maple Leafs.
