The Arizona Coyotes are expected to name 26-year-old John Chayka as the team's new general manager in a press conference on Thursday, according to ESPN's Craig Custance.
Chayka will take over for Don Maloney, who was fired in April. He will be the youngest general manager in NHL history after spending one season in charge of the team's analytics in the front office. He was previously the co-founder of Stathletes, an analytics website.
