Watch: Stars score three goals in first period of Game 6 vs. Blues
The Dallas Stars seem to have rebounded just fine from their Game 5 loss, and made that quite clear during the first period of their Game 6 matchup against the Blues.
The Stars, facing elimination, tallied two first period goals just 24 seconds apart, silencing the St. Louis crowd.
Mattias Janmark got things started with a snipe over Brian Elliott's shoulder to make it 1–0.
Then, 24 seconds later, the Stars generated a chance when they were able to keep in a Blues' clearing attempt. That's when Colton Sceviour took it behind the net and hit a cutting Vernon Fiddler, chipping it in for his first goal of the playoffs. The goal came on Fiddler's 36th birthday.

The Stars' first-period onslaught didn't stop there. Jason Spezza scored a power play goal with 3:11 left, causing the Blues to replace goalie Brian Elliott with Jake Allen.
