Before the second period of Sunday night’s Stanley Cup Final Game 6 between the Sharks and Penguins, players and fans paid tribute to the late Gordie Howe.

A minute-long tribute video was aired at the SAP Center in San Jose, Calif during the first intermission, including words from Wayne Gretzky, Bobby Hull and Gordie’s son, Mark.

Howe, the former Red Wings great, died Friday at age 88. The Hall of Famer won four Stanley Cup trophies with the Red Wings and six Hart Trophies for being the league MVP.

The Penguins are wearing a No. 9 sticker on their helmets in honor of Howe.
