Puck Comes to Rest in the Most Unlikely of Places in Blackhawks-Predators Game

During Tuesday night’s game between the Blackhawks and Predators, the puck improbably got stuck on top of the glass.

Tuesday night’s game between the Blackhawks and Predators was a good one. Nick Foligno had two goals for Chicago and the score was 3–3 at the end of regulation before Nashville won in a shootout for its eighth victory in its last 10 games. 

But the most amazing highlight wasn’t a nice goal, a slick pass or a big hit. It was the puck going out of play. 

In the middle of the third period, Chicago defenseman Connor Murphy attempted to chip the puck out of the Blackhawks’ zone, but the flew puck above the top of the glass, struck a camera and then landed in the most unlikely of places—balancing on top of the glass.

What are the odds of that? I mean, seriously, has that happened in any hockey game anywhere in the world? Sure, the plastic case protecting what appears to be part of the camera equipment is slightly wider than the glass itself, but it’s still incredible that the puck came to rest there. It’s like a basketball shot settling on the back of the rim times 100.
