On Saturday, the New Jersey Devils played host to the Philadelphia Flyers in the NHL Stadium Series, and it was a night to remember at MetLife Stadium. Not only because the game was played outdoors, but also because one player left fans with the perfect quote after the win.

Devils center Nico Hischier finished the 6–3 win with two goals and an assist. And for that, he was asked to conduct an interview with ESPN in front of the approximately 70,000 fans in attendance.

“I love it here. It’s my second home,” Hischier said of New Jersey. “Sopranos, that’s how we roll. Thanks for showing up, it was f------ amazing—sorry!”

Hischier was referring to the Sopranos-inspired outfits the Devils wore before the game, and perhaps he got a bit too much into character. The legendary HBO series from the early 2000s centered around the New Jersey mafia and had quite a reputation for not only it’s storytelling—but also its f-bombs.

A New Jersey night all around.
