Olympic men's snowboardcross delayed by fog
KRASNAYA POLYANA, Russia (AP) The start of the men's Olympic snowboardcross contest has been delayed by fog.
The Rosa Khutor Extreme Park course was shrouded in a thick fog on Monday morning, with low visibility. The event had been scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. local time, with the elimination races set to start at 1:30 p.m.
Organizers did say when the event would now start.
The fog was the first weather issue in Krasnaya Polyana during the games, with most days featuring bright sunshine and temperatures into the 40s or above.
