British diver Tom Daley tweeted Friday that the Olympic diving pool has been closed, presumably because of its green water.

Tuesday, the diving pool at Rio’s aquatics center turned a shade of green, as opposed to the typical blue, for unclear reasons. On Wednesday, the center’s water polo pool also turned green.

There have been multiple explanations for the change in color, with Rio organizers at different times citing a change in alkalinity, an algae bloom and a lack of chemicals in the water treatment process as reasons for the color change.

The women’s 3-meter preliminary is scheduled to take place at the diving pool Friday. There are diving events scheduled to take place at the pool through Day 15 of the Olympics.
