Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James has not retired from international play and has left the door open to joining the squad in the future, reports Rachel Nichols of ESPN.

“Every time I watch ‘em I wish I was out there... I did not retire from Team USA,” James said. “I just did not play this summer. So I still left the door open.”

James was just one of a number of NBA stars who opted not to play in the Rio Olympics this summer, along with players such as Stephen Curry and Chris Paul.

James has been a mainstay of the U.S. team over the last three Olympics, winning gold in London and Beijing, and claiming a bronze medal in Athens.

James has also competed with Team USA in the FIBA World Championship and Americans Championship.
