Kerri Strug's gold-medal winning vault during 1996 Olympics

Strug won a gold medal for team all-around performance as a member of a United States team known as the "Magnificent Seven." The gold medal was the United States' first in the women's team gymnastics competition. After injuring an ankle on her first vault attempt, Kerri Strug limped back for another attempt, then stuck the landing on that attempt. Her coach Béla Károlyi had to hold Strug on the podium because she could not put weight on her injured ankle.
