Davidson Legend Drops Profound Statement After Huge Performance

Davidson Wildcats legend Stephen Curry will go down as the greatest shooter in NBA history and one of the greatest players to ever step on the hardwood, period, but like any other superstar entering the back end of their career, his light was starting to flicker just a bit.
It has been a rough season for Curry and the Golden State Warriors, who were teetering around .500 until the trade deadline acquisition of Jimmy Butler, which has allowed the Warriors to re-emerge as contenders in the Western Conference.
It also also allowed Curry to find new life.
The two-time MVP dropped 56 points in Golden State's win over the Orlando Magic this past Thursday, draining 12 three-pointers in a vintage performance.
But after the game, Curry put things into perspective in the best way possible.
“We play 82 of these, and at the end of the day, you have to have fun," Curry said, via John Hollinger of The Athletic. "It’s not for everybody, but it’s been a key factor for me. Me and (former Warriors guard) Ian Clark used to play random games during two-line layups in pregame warmups, even to the point where we were doing curling at one time."
The 36-year-old wants everyone to know that at the end of the day, basketball is not that serious.
“You want to have fun," Curry added. "The year is so long it can get monotonous at times, and I think it’s just a way to remind yourself to have fun; it’s just a game.”
The Davidson product certainly appears to be having fun again, as the window appears to have reopened on the Warriors' championship hopes.
Curry has already won four NBA titles. His legacy is already established. But just imagine if he is actually able to win a fifth this season in spite of all the adversity he has faced.
