Mick Schumacker, the former Haas F1 driver and current Mercedes F1 reserve and Alpine WEC driver, has emphatically dismissed any speculation regarding a possible transition to IndyCar. His sights remain firmly set on a comeback to Formula 1, despite having missed two seasons.

Schumacher's aspiration to return to the grid sees him as a potential candidate for teams like Williams and Alpine, which represents a more promising prospect as he is carrying out tests with the French team. The competition for seats at Alpine involves notable drivers, including Jack Doohan and Carlos Sainz. Whereas, drivers linked with the Williams seat include, Sainz, Valtteri Bottas, and F1 driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli. In this context, Schumacher has pointed out the critical influence of Sainz's decisions on his own future. The German driver commented, as quoted by Sportsmole.com:

"His decision will affect everything, because depending on where he goes, various seats will open or close."

Addressing rumors about a shift to IndyCar, Schumacher clarified his position with a categorical denial, ensuring his focus remains on Formula 1. He explained:

"I have never spoken to any Indycar team. I don't know where that rumor comes from. I'm not thinking about it right now because it's not my goal.

"My goal has always been Formula 1 and it will always remain Formula 1."

Should his efforts to secure a Formula 1 seat not materialize, Schumacher considers the World Endurance Championship (WEC) a viable alternative.
