Marc Marquez revealed that dropping Ducati for Aprilia or KTM was 'a feasible option' when deciding his options for the 2025 season. The six-time MotoGP championship winner said in his argument that they were both well-performing European brands winning races in recent years.

After holding up most of the rider line-up for 2025, Marquez ultimately secured the seat on the official Ducati bike for 2025, edging out Jorge Martin. Consequently, Aprilia signed Martin and Marco Bezzecchi, while KTM recruited Enea Bastianini and Maverick Vinales for their Tech3 team. Notably, this season marks the first time Marquez has yet to secure a victory on a Ducati.

As the MotoGP series heads to Silverstone for the next round, Marquez is currently positioned third in the championship standings, trailing leader Pecco Bagnaia—his future teammate by 56 points.

Speaking to DAZN, Marquez revealed that he could at least win one more championship in MotoGP, as he currently battles Bagnaia and Martin for the title. When asked which rider was stronger, he said:

"Right now, Pecco.

"He has mental stability which is important. Then, the results.

"He is gaining momentum which can change, but it is scary."

Elaborating on the Aprilia and KTM offers he received, Marquez added:

“It was an approach.

"It was option C, but yes, why not? In the end there are two more brands, both European, that are doing well.

"They have a working method, and they have progressed in recent years. They are winning races, so yes, it was a real and feasible option."

Speaking on Pramac parting ways with Ducati, Marquez stated that he preferred more Ducatis on the track as a Ducati fan. But as a MotoGP fan, he wished to see four Yamahas on the track. He said:

"As a Ducati fan, now I prefer that there are eight Ducatis on the track, because you have more information.

"But as a MotoGP fan, there have to be four Yamahas on the track, there can't be eight Ducatis."
