In the latest compilation of quarter-mile dragstrip racing, the Wheels YouTube channel brings together a series of races that pit old-school American muscle cars against modern imports, with a special focus on American cars versus the rest.

The channel is known for its quarter-mile dragstrip racing videos and consistently delivers thrilling content from some of North America's most popular tracks, such as Mission Raceway Park in British Columbia, Bandimere Speedway in Colorado, and The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The first match-up takes us to Mission Raceway Park, where a sleek modern Porsche 911 goes up against a classic Chevrolet Nova SS, which has been tastefully modified to stand out both in terms of performance and appearance. The race begins with the Porsche taking an early lead, but in a surprising turn, the driver lets off the throttle midway, allowing the Nova to seize the victory with a time of 10.35 seconds, while the Porsche lags behind at 13.47 seconds. It’s a surprising start that immediately sets the tone for the rest of the showdown.

The next race was at Bandimere Speedway, affectionately known as "Thunder Mountain" in the NHRA circuit. Here, another Chevy Nova SS transformed into a drag racer, styled after a police patrol, faced a very different rival: the formidable R35 Nissan GT-R. However, despite its menacing look and sound, the Nova driver red-lights, handing the win to the GT-R, which barely had to push itself to cruise past the finish line. This ties the domestic versus import score, leaving the tension high as the battles continue.

At Mission Raceway Park, a C7 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was lined up alongside a red Audi R8 with blue lighting underneath, a popular touch from the Fast and Furious days. The Corvette lives up to its reputation, clocking a blazing 9.99 seconds, while the Audi struggles to keep up, finishing at 10.48 seconds. American cars had shown up to this point that they could outperform some of the fastest road-legal cars.

Back at Bandimere, a Dodge Challenger Hellcat takes on a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, most likely a ZX-10R running a drag-tuned spec. Despite the Hellcat’s raw power, the agile Ninja claims victory, underscoring the challenge of facing a two-wheeled opponent.

Lastly, in Las Vegas, a Dodge Challenger takes on the nimble Toyota GR Supra, and it’s an easy win for the American contender. A bright red C8 Corvette then enters the fray against a tastefully modded BMW M3, while another Hellcat squares off against a Nissan GT-R. The Corvette narrowly beats the BMW, but the Hellcat loses to the GT-R, resulting in a final score of 4-3 in favor of the American muscle cars.
