There are no signs of the greatest tennis player ever slowing down. On Wednesday, Novak Djokovic defeated Dominik Koepfer in the third round of the men's singles tournament in the Olympics.

Djokovic beat Koepfer in straight sets: 7-5, 6-3. It will be the fourth time Djokovic has reached the Olympics quarterfinals. He is the first ever man to reach four different Olympics quarterfinals.

After the match, Djokovic applauded the crowd at Roland Garros. "People from all over the world come to support their athletes, and I think there are so many different nations and nationalities, and it is beautiful to see. We are all celebrating sport and I am glad to still stay in the tournament."

The rain that plagued the clay courts for the first day of action has given way to sweltering heat.

Djokovic spoke with media about the poor conditions, "I am soaking wet. It is a very humid day, as it was yesterday. I just hope it rains so it cools down the temperature a bit, the air. It is the same for me and my opponent so you have to make the best out of it."

Djokovic will face Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarterfinals. The two players faced each other 13 times before, with Djokovic winning 11 of the matches, including the previous ten consecutive meetings.
