There has apparently been no love lost between Arthur Rinderknech and Taylor Fritz. The two players battled through a contentious four-set match during the 2023 French Open.

Fans at Roland Garros were clearly in the corner of Rinderknech, a top-ranked French player. The crowd booed and jeered Fritz, who returned the taunting in kind during after defeating Rinderknech.

It was an uncharacteristic moment for Fritz, who is often a fan favorite. However, Rinderknech has not forgotten Fritz's behavior from last June.

When asked about his upcoming second round match against Fritz tomorrow, Rinderknech gave an aggressive response:

"He won't cry as much. He whined a bit, saying it was too noisy. I hold no grudge against him, but he was wrong if he thought the crowd would send him kisses in between points," said Rinderknech.

Fritz enters tomorrow's match as the World No. 13, and Rinderknech the World No. 76. The odds are in Fritz's favor, but it should be a competitive match. Fans can watch the match on ESPN at 9:15 a.m. EST.
