Less than a month ago, Carlos Alcaraz defeated Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon finals for the second consecutive year. It felt like a passing of the torch, but the rivalry is far from over. The inter-generational superstars will face off again in the Olympic finals on Sunday, August 4.

Earlier today, Alcaraz easily defeated Felix Auger Aliassime in straight sets during their semifinal match: 6-1, 6-1. On the other side of the bracket, Djokovic defeated Lorenzo Musetti in straight sets: 6-4, 6-2.

The Olympic finals match is truly historic as Djokovic, 37, is the oldest man to reach a men's singles final at the Olympics; Alcaraz, 21, is the youngest since 1904. Both are going for their first Olympic gold medal.

Both players are riding hot streaks. Alcaraz has won 12 consecutive matches (including titles at the French Open and Wimbledon), and Djokovic has won 10 of his last 11 matches (only losing to Alcaraz at Wimbledon).

Alcaraz seems unstoppable at the moment. Plus, Djokovic is dealing with a knee issue again. Luckily, it did not slow him down during his match earlier today.
