Grass courts have never played to the strengths of Coco Gauff. The World No. 2 has never made it past the fourth round, and that trend continues today.

Emma Navarro defeated Gauff in straight sets on Sunday afternoon: 6-4, 6-3. Today's match is easily Navarro's biggest win of her career. She advances to her first Grand Slam quarterfinal, where she will face Jasmine Paolini.

When asked about upsetting Gauff, Navarro said, "I don't know. I don't have a ton of words. Just really grateful to be here on Centre Court. A tournament with so much history and tradition that so many legends have played on before me. Thank you so much for coming to watch. I can't wait to play again."

Navarro complemented Gauff, "Coco is obviously an amazing player. I have a ton of respect for her. What she's done at such a young age is really amazing. I knew she wouldn't make it easy on me. I wanted to play aggressively and push back against her game. I'm glad I was able to do that."

After today's match, the top three women's singles players have all been eliminated from Wimbledon. Iga Swiatek lost on Saturday, and Aryna Sabalenka withdrew before the tournament started due to a rare shoulder injury.
