The last time we saw the World No. 1 tennis player, he was battling dizziness at Wimbledon. Sinner finished his match against Daniil Medvedev, but was clearly not right physically. Today, Jannik Sinner has officially withdrawn from the Swedish Open (known as the Nordea Open).

Sinner expressed his since disappointment in a statement, "I'm sad to have to withdraw from Bastad next week due to fatigue. Never an easy decision as I would love to play, but following the advice from my team and doctors they have advised it's best to take some time to rest and recover. I hope to play Bastad in the future, I've heard it's a great tournament."

The clay courts at Bastad would have been good preparation for the upcoming Summer Olympics. For the first time since 1992, clay courts will be part of the Summer Games. Sinner recently played at Roland Garros before grass court season began.

The 22-year-old has had an incredible year. His record is 42-4, and he has four titles, including a Grand Slam victory at the Australian Open.

It would be a quick turnaround from Wimbledon to the Swedish Open to the Summer Olympics. Not to mention, the US Open in August. Sinner has played a lot of tennis this year and is due for a quick break.
