Ever since Novak Djokovic was forced to withdraw from the French Open with a knee injury, the tennis world has held its collective breath. It has been a roller coaster of emotions the past few weeks after learning the extent of his injury.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion revealed that he underwent surgery on his right meniscus, shared videos of his recovery process, and committed to playing in the 2024 Summer Olympics.

But what about Wimbledon? The iconic grass court tournament at the All England Club is quickly approaching, and Djokovic has yet to make a decision.

After traveling to London and practicing on grass, Djokovic has addressed the media for the first time. Djokovic told the BBC, "I'm going to take it day by day. If I know that I can play close to my maximum, or at maximum, then I'll play. If not, then I'll give somebody else a chance to play."

For what it's worth, Taylor Fritz believes Djokovic is capable of playing at this year's Wimbledon. Fritz told the media he shared with Djokovic after receiving a call from his peer.

Djokovic has won Wimbledon seven times, including as recently as 2022. One more title at the All England Club and Djokovic will tie Roger Federer's all-time record. Last year, Carloz Alcaraz defeated Djokovic in the Wimbledon finals.
