Earlier this month, the entire tennis world held its collective breath as Novak Djokovic went down with a knee injury. Djokovic was forced to withdraw from the French Open quarter-final after tearing the medial meniscus in his right knee.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion quickly had the knee surgically repaired and has begun sharing videos of his recovery on social media.

While it is still unclear if Djokovic will participate in Wimbledon, which begins on July 1, fans received some positive news on Tuesday afternoon.

The Serbian Olympic Committee announced that Djokovic will play in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Team Serbia made the major headline with a low-key social media post, which quickly began circulating online.

The tennis tournaments at the Summer Games start on July 27 and will be played on the clay courts at Roland Garros.

The 37-year-old is no stranger to Roland Garros, as he has won the French Open three times. Additionally, he won the bronze medal for Serbia at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Now that Djokovic is expected to play in Paris, our attention turns to his availability for Wimbledon. Fans can count on Sports Illustrated for the most important tennis news.
