Taylor Fritz was 0-9 against top-five players in Grand Slams before today's match against Alexander Zverev. After falling behind by two sets, it looked like that trend was going to continue.

However, Fritz fought back to win in five sets: 4-6, 6-7(4), 6-4, 7-6(3), 6-3. It is Fritz' fourth time winning a quarterfinal match at a Grand Slam, but his first at Wimbledon.

After the match, Fritz spoke on the five-set thriller on Centre Court. "It was amazing to do that on Centre Court when I'm two sets down in front of this crowd. It's a dream."

Fritz continued, "The thing was, I felt like I was still playing really well for being down two sets. I was just thinking it would suck to be playing this well and just lose in three straight, so let's take the third... I had that belief."

Fritz has punched his ticket to face Lorenzo Musetti in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, July 10. Tennis fans can follow Sports Illustrated's Serve on SI for all the most important news from the sport.
