Taylor Fritz Explains Intense Handshake With Alexander Zverev
Taylor Fritz is widely considered one of the most laid-back tennis players in the world. The California native seems unflappable on the court. Yet, he keeps finding himself in drama at Wimbledon.
Earlier this week, we covered Fritz's rivalry with Arthur Rinderknech. Now, fans want to know what was said after his match against Alexander Zverev on Monday.
Fritz came from behind to defeat Zverev in five sets in the fourth round of Wimbledon. When speaking at the net, Zverev gave Fritz an earful. Understandably, everyone wanted to know what the World No. 4 told Fritz.
Fritz explained what happened in an interview on the Tennis Channel. Fans can watch the video below and read our breakdown of the situation.
Fritz said, "Just like good match. All good. I think he was a little upset about, I guess, my team members cheering for me when he was injured. But he said, you know, nothing to do with you. You're all good. Whatever. So, I mean, whatever. It's all good."
Fritz referenced his beef with Rinderknech by joking, "I wasn't wishing him a flight home." The World No. 12 faces Lorenzo Musetti in the Wimbledon quarterfinals on Wednesday, July 10.
