Travis Scott has transcended music and fashion to become a global superstar. But in his heart, the Houston-native remains a diehard sports fan.

Fans are accustomed to seeing the award-winning rapper at NBA and MLB games. But Scott is well-versed many sports. He has collaborated with Nike and Jordan Brand on sneakers for lifestyle, basketball, and tennis.

In fact, his last project with tennis legend John McEnroe included an explosive marketing campaign. But it is all love between Scott and Carlos Alcaraz.

Scott recently gave a huge shout-out to the 4-time Grand Slam Champion on his Instagram story. Scott shared a picture of Alcaraz sitting in a press conference at Wimbledon and said, "Congrats to my brother Carlos. The future is now."

Scott is right. Netflix is dropping a docuseries starring Alcaraz, and Nike is building its tennis division
around the 21-year-old. Not to mention, it appears no other player in Alcaraz's promising young generation has as high of a ceiling.

Alcaraz made history on Sunday when he became the sixth man in the Open Era to win back-to-back Roland-Garros and Wimbledon titles. Alcaraz's endurance will soon be tested with the Summer Olympics and US Open coming up soon.

Regardless, we agree with Scott's assertion - the future is now for Alcaraz and the tennis world. Tennis fans can follow Sports Illustrated's Serve on SI for all the most important news from the sport.
