Caitlin Clark's Passing Stands Out In Fever Rookie Season

Caitlin Clark is the all-time leading scorer in NCAA women's basketball history. But it is Clark's passing and playmaking that has stood out above everything else during her WNBA rookie season with the Indiana Fever.

Caitlin's court vision is extraordinary and worth comparisons to the greatest passers the game has ever seen. Including the likes of LeBron James, Magic Johnson, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, and John Stockton. She's that special. Which is backed up by her having more assists than anyone in the league.

Clark is on pace to shatter both the Indiana Fever franchise record for dimes and the all-time mark for a WNBA rookie. That coming while her teammates are still adjusting to her passing, which has led to some of the historic number of turnovers she is also putting up. Caitlin of course has also forced the issue at times and made some careless decisions as well.

Nevertheless, her Fever teammates have certainly taken notice of her dishing skills with Temi Fagbenle previously saying, “I’ve only had a few of those kind of point guards, who just know, sees the play before it’s happened." While Aliyah Boston defended Clark's turnovers in stating, " We know that she's a great passer. If she thinks she can get that ball there, she's gonna throw it."

Indiana coach Christie Sides has taken to asking Clark to be more selfish at times, but also acknowledged the table setting her rookie star brings to the team. “She’s just a willing, incredible passer.” Clark scored or assisted on 44 of the Fever's 88 points in their win over the Phoenix Mercury.
Temi Fagbenle on the full-court pass connection with Caitlin Clark: “I’ve only had a few of those kind of point guards, who just know, sees the play before it’s happened… regular point guards I’m like they didn’t see it… but Caitlin saw that!”

So while it may be the logo threes that initially caught everyone's attention, the Fever now know they must always be paying attention. Because it is Caitlin Clark's ability to make plays for others that have led to the best highlights of her career thus far.
