The Los Angeles Sparks and Connecticut Sun made WNBA history on Tuesday by being part of the first WNBA game to take place at Boston's TD Garden, where the Boston Celtics play their home games.

Despite the WNBA not broadcasting the game on live TV, a stadium full of excited fans packed TD Garden to witness the Sun secure a 69-61 win over the Sparks.

Among the many fans in attendance were Jayson Tatum and Jrue Holiday, two Boston Celtics and Team USA players. An X post from the Celtics also showed two of Boston's 2024 NBA Draft selections, Baylor Scheierman and Anton Watson, spectating the game courtside.

Tatum (who won a gold medal for Team USA at the Paris 2024 Olympics and won an NBA Championship with the Celtics earlier this Summer) posed with Holiday alongside Alyssa Thomas (who also won a gold medal in Paris for Team USA) and DiJonai Carrington, who is a favorite to win WNBA Most Improved Player of the Year this season.

Holiday was at the game with his wife and kids. He also made waves for wearing a sweatshirt that read, "Everyone Watches Women's Sports".

The Sun improved to 20-7 on the 2024 WNBA regular season with the win on Tuesday night. They currently sit in 2nd place in the WNBA standings and would be slated to play Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever if the season was to end today.

It remains to be seen when the next WNBA game at TD Garden will take place. But it likely won't be long after Tuesday night's resounding success.
