The return of Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever had basketball fans excited, Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton being amongst them. Haliburton was in attendance at Gainbridge Fieldhouse and was just like everyone else watching Clark fresh off the WNBA's Olympics break.

Tyrese posted, "Hope y’all seeing what 22 doin at Gainbridge" on X, while the Fever broadcast noted Tyrese's reactions were even more pronounced in person.

One particular pass caused the Pacers point guard to stand up and put his hands on his head in disbelief at what his fellow floor general was able to do on the court, as described by the play-by-play team during the first half of the game against the Phoenix Mercury.

Clark pushed the pace from the opening tip and attacked the Mercury early, who came into the game on a back-to-back. It was a sound strategy given it is CC's strength and since Phoenix also had three players coming off playing in Paris. Brittney Griner, Kahleah Copper, and Diana Taurasi all represented Team USA in capturing yet another gold medal for women's basketball.

Caitlin had 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists at the half to help her squad open up a sizable lead. With her trademark three-point shot and playmaking on display. She had several triples and dimes that had the crowd in a frenzy, including Haliburton.

The Mercury slowed the Fever down at the start of the second half, but the way the game began showed the hype around Clark will remain at a Fever pitch all season. As she pushed the pace in front of the Pacers star.
