It's been an awesome day of marketing for Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese. First it was revealed she signed an obvious and brilliant deal with Reese's, complete with a "Reese's Pieces" collection. Then it was announced that the Sky would host the first ever "Barbie Night Game" against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on August 30.

The WNBA franchise and Mattel are partnering to get fans in their pink best for the always highly anticipated showdown between the star WNBA rookies. This of course coming in honor of Reese, who was once known as "Bayou Barbie" and is now the "Chi-Town Barbie".

The contest will be the fourth and final regular season meeting between the two team's this season, with Clark and the Fever taking the first two matchups, and Reese and the Sky winning the third. Angel had perhaps the best game of her career in the most recent meeting, putting up 25 points and 16 rebounds on 8-12 shooting.

Aside from being a marketing sensation, Reese has been a rebounding machine for the Sky. She is pacing to set the all-time record for rebounds and only needs to grab 5.6 boards per game the remainder of the season to do so.

This coming after she already registered the most consecutive double-doubles by any player in WNBA history earlier in the year. The double-doubles can be given a double meaning of sort at this juncture, given Reese is putting up numbers on the floor and off.

Angel once said this regarding criticism when she attended the Met Gala, "So now y'all can delete them drafts and tweets saying I shouldn’t have gone to the Met Gala and I can’t do both."

Barbie is proving that to be true more and more with each off court deal and on court double-double.
