Indiana Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell opened up speculation about her WNBA future just as the season is about to resume. Mitchell, who was an All-Star both this season and last for the Fever, was asked about Indianapolis being the host city for the 2025 edition of the event. Her answer certainly left fans curious.

Mitchell had this to say about Indy hosting the WNBA All-Star Game next year. "I guess I was excited. Obviously I've been in Indy the last years of my life. I'm excited that Indy get a chance to host it. Shouts out to Indy for that. So I'm excited for them and the city."

The use of them and not us along with what seemed like a general lack of outward excitement about the initial question she was asked is sure to have many wondering if Kelsey was hinting toward uncertainty regarding her future with the team. Mitchell is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. Something she was also asked about at practice.

To that Mitchell said, "No, I don't know anything. I haven't even let the thought cross my mind...those conversations are going to have to be had. I'm going to do what's best for me."

Mitchell certainly hasn't let any questions about her future impact her present. She is averaging nearly 17 points per game and has been part of a consistent three-headed monster for the Fever alongside her fellow All-Stars Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark. The trio is combining to put nearly 50 points per game on the board every contest.

However, whether it was her intention or not, Mitchell's answers will leave many wondering whether she could be representing a different WNBA franchise if once again selected to participate in the upcoming All-Star Game in Indianapolis.
