The Indiana Fever played the Minnesota Lynx on the road. It was also a game that saw the Lynx honor franchise and WNBA legend Maya Moore. Yet despite that, some of the crowd was audibly cheering for Caitlin Clark and company during much of the contest.

Unfortunately for Clark and the Fever, that wasn't enough to get them past the surging Lynx, but it was praised by Indiana All-Star Kelsey Mitchell after the game. Mitchell and Clark have combined to form an explosive backcourt, but Kelsey gave Caitlin all the credit for the positive attention.

When asked a question about how it sounded like there wasn't really a home team after the game, Mitchell had this to say.

"All our girl C-Squared...I think Caitlin specifically is a household name. And I think that she's going to continue to bring in the arena and put us in position to have all the fans in the world."

Kelsey went on to give Clark credit for how she has handled it all. "I give her grace because it's a lot to take on and I think she's done a really good job of it."

Clark herself complimented the fans, stating how even though they may be wearing her jersey they appreciate great basketball, which she said applies to the Lynx and her childhood hero Moore.

Even Minnesota coach Cheryl Reeve finally admitted to the benefits the W has received as a result of Clark's presence.

Reeve changed her previous tune on CC in admiring her game and stating, "We've wanted a player or league that can sort of transcend some of these spaces and have a roadshow. The NBA has had their players that people come to see...Caitlin Clark and some of the other rookies give us that. Obviously Caitlin being the headliner."

As Clark continues to bring more and more eyeballs and headlines to the game, it appears that fact is now being universally recognized. And celebrated.
