It didn't take long for Kahleah Copper to take her Olympic heroics back to the WNBA. The standout performer for Team USA in the gold medal game in Paris shined for the Phoenix Mercury in her return to league action. But she wore her former team's jersey before doing so.

Copper won a Finals MVP for the Chicago Sky, yet was still traded to Phoenix at the beginning of 2024. She made sure Sky fans remembered what they once had while leaving Mercury supporters thankful that she is on their squad now.

Kahleah returned to Wintrust arena rocking her old Chicago apparel, then she proceeded to light up the Sky with her current team. Copper dropped 29 points in the contest, which included 13 in the first quarter. The Mercury went on to easily defeat the Sky winning by 20 points.

Afterwards, Copper had this to say about her performance and wardrobe choice versus her old team. "I thought it'd be cool...y'all know I like to get dressed so I thought I could put something together, look good and then be able to rep the city at the same time."

Kahleah spent seven seasons in Chicago, including a championship winning one in 2021. She is currently the second leading scorer in the league at 23.2 points per game, trailing only A'ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces.

Clearly Copper's apparel was meant with respect, but she showed up to show out and did just that. Kahleah and Olympic teammate Brittney Griner had their way with the Sky all night, looking no worse for wear fresh off winning gold.

While it was what Copper chose to wear that made headlines, along with her game. Making it so A'ja Wilson's epic description of her wasn't necessary this time around.
