The Chicago Sky were defeated by the Phoenix Mercury 86-68 on Sunday.

Despite the disappointing loss, rookie Angel Reese produced another extraordinary outing. She finished the game with 19 points and a whopping 20 rebounds, 10 of which came on the offensive end.

But fans have come to expect these insane rebounding stats from the 22-year-old. The most impressive aspect of Reese's game on Sunday was her shooting outside of the paint.

Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune noted on X that Reese shot 4 of 4 from outside the paint against Phoenix. She also went 3 for 4 from inside the restricted area, which has been a common point of criticism for her during this rookie season.

Poe wasn't the only person who noted this improvement from Reese. NBA legend Kevin Garnett also spoke out about Reese's shooting with an X post on Monday morning that wrote, "Yup… I see it. @Reese10Angel got an elite 2nd jump on the glass like [NBA legend Shawn Marion].. 20 boards and damn near 20 points? Face up game looked legit last night too".

Garnett followed up that initial post with a video showing all of Reese's made jump shots Sunday with the caption, "…@Finisher_11 I see the work!!!"

@Finisher_11 is the X account of Teresa Weatherspoon, the Chicago Sky's first-year head coach. Weatherspoon and Reese have been spotted working on Reese's jump shot together before every game and at Sky practice sessions.

Reese isn't the only rookie Garnett has praised over the past few days. He also called out Indiana Fever sensation Caitlin Clark after her string of excellent performances since the WNBA's month-long break for the Paris Olympics.

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Boston Celtics legend is locked into the WNBA right now.
