Paige Bueckers Made Klay Thompson Style Minnesota State Fair Appearance

UConn's Paige Bueckers made an appearance at the Minnesota State Fair that was reminiscent of a viral moment from NBA star Klay Thompson.

Many basketball fans may remember NBA star Klay Thompson talking about scaffolding. The longtime Golden State Warriors player and now member of the Dallas Mavericks once took part in a viral local news interview where he was asked about scaffolding in New York City.

Thompson told the interviewer he observes the piping around him and tries to avoid areas where the structures look older, in his trademark deadpan style. Though perhaps he could have been answering semi-seriously as a sometimes pedestrian in NYC.

Well, now UConn star Paige Bueckers is following in Klay's footsteps. Paige was interviewed in her home state of Minnesota, at the Minnesota State Fair, and spoke to a local news station about her preference between corn dogs and pronto pups. One can only assume those are staple snack items at said fair.

Bueckers could not choose. She said, "I would say I like the corn dog and pronto pup at the state fair. You can't go wrong with either. I'll probably get like two of each and call it a day."

Paige has been busy all offseason, so she has earned some fair food. Bueckers has been seen all over the place, at various WNBA games in different cities and recently coaching against LSU standout Flau'jae Johnson during Overtime Select games.

Bueckers and UConn obviously have high expectations for the coming college basketball season after making it to the Final Four last year and their very tough non conference schedule was recently released.

In the meantime, it appears Paige will continue to be on the scene, wherever that may be. Even if we have yet to hear her comment on city scaffolding.
