A'ja Wilson and Caitlin Clark Lead WNBA All-Star Voting Returns!

The first returns for WNBA All-Star voting are in and A'ja Wilson of the defending champion Las Vegas Aces is at the top of the list. Wilson, who leads the league in scoring and rebounding, received 217,773 votes to put her at number one.

Right below Wilson is Caitlin Clark. The Indiana Fever rookie tallied 216,427 votes, most amongst all guards. Also of note was that Clark's teammate Aliyah Boston was third in the returns with 171,864 fans selecting the reigning WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

The rest of the top ten features many of the best players in the league with Arike Ogunbowale of the Dallas Wings and Dearica Hamby of the Los Angeles Sparks being notable non Olympians. In addition to another rookie in Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky who received 118,490 votes.

The format for this year's All-Star game will be Team USA vs Team WNBA, so players like Wilson who are on the 12-person squad for the Olympics will make up one roster. The other will be comprised from the top ten remaining vote getters and two selections made by the league's coaches. This means that it is extremely likely Clark will be squaring off against the team she very controversially was not chosen for to determine All-Star supremacy.

The WNBA All-Star Game is sold out and will take place in Phoenix on July 20th. Voting runs through June 29th so there is still time for fans to make their voices heard. However, according to the early returns, there has already been plenty of participation.
